Sandy, so when your parcel arrives will your big rig now be called the medium outfit?

With any luck a delivery will come soon to improve your week.
I just checked the tracking number with Australia Post. They said expect it either Friday or Monday week.

I have a session tomorrow, and was hoping to play with it. But it's probably for the best that I don't bring out a new lens that I've never tried before on a paying client. LOL.

Can't wait till it arrives and I get to play!!

Cropping can really make or break a photo, IMO.

As I type this, I am uploading photos from 3 to 11 September into the Flickr group; I will assign/link them to their respective days in the sub-threads when I have a spare moment after dinner. September 12 to 14 have been eaten up by travel hither and yon, and there was no opportunity to get a shot.

September 15 was eaten by family and by other hobbies. Will try to see what today brings.

Hurricane Florence has me rather busy. I've still got power (father-in-law 1.5 mikes away doesn't, plus he has a tree on his house though no leaks) I've even taken a couple of pictures but processing, sorting and posting is low on priority list.

Ouch! Best of luck to you and your family. Lots of rain here in Virginia, but no high winds.
Yesterday I was out and about and a hawk swooped across my path at eye level, about 25 feet away. I had been manually focusing, so I was sharp, but in Av Mode, and somehow the highlights are very blown out. I think I need to stop being lazy using Av mode and to spend a lot more time in full manual, that way I have full control and only myself to blame for the results.

Winds have been no more than 40-50mph, we are 200 miles from the coast. Flooding in the low areas around town is expected. Trees falling due to lost root system integrity - clay soil and shallow roots.

I hate your shot was missed that's annoying. I've dove it myself.

Jumping in halfway. There is a super-takumar 35mm F3.5 on the K-1 so that will be the lens.

September 16 also eaten. Have brought the 18-135 to work with me, along with my trusty PK-A deglassed teleconverter (as an extension tube) so we will see what results from that.

Welcome!

Now I need to try and make sure you don't post more pictures in the remaining two weeks than I have posted all month.
