Basic answer is have the crystal on a sheet of glass, fire a flash up through the crystal and photograph it - simple
Last December I
posted the setup I was using then. I've rebuilt it for this year so I'm moving the glass, and not the camera. Hopefully that will give me better, and more precise, control. I tinker with the setup each year in the hope of capturing the perfect shot.
