Early Morning Sunrise in Antioch California!
Although the fires burning in Northern California are tragic and destructive they also contribute to some unique atmospheric conditions such as the one shown in the attached photograph. This photo was taken through the early morning hazy conditions at the Delta in Antioch Ca. It was taken using a Pentax K1 camera with a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens at a focal length of 48mm and ISO 100. Although I was shooting directly into the sun I used a Kase polarizing filter and a 6 stop ND filter to get an 8sec exposure time for that dreamy ethereal look.
This photo was taken about 5min after the one above. I was just about to pack up and decided to take one last photo. I called it “Double Sun”; I don’t know if that is the moon or not as it was not visible with the necked eye.
