Well that's it for PP Challenge #270.
I struggled for an image to choose that was worth selecting over the others submitted but as always it's a close run thing and after about 15 minutes going back and forth through the options I decided on a winner to choose for the next host.
Some notes on the areas of work I liked included the more 3D look of some images where the surfer was not just jumping off the board but also out of the screen. This was not easy considering how hazy the scene was so our winner and todd were two really good examples of this.
D1NO and tuggie76 went with some unique changes each with their own challenges to make them work. That rear leg is at a funny angle and almost looks like a third arm.
Something that would come in handy if he was jumping in with a shark.
I like some of the tones people were working with, the turquoise look to the wave was particularly good and the colours represented were a wide gamut from mono through shades of colour to strong saturation. Interesting how colour or lack of if influenced the scene captured.
Okay, so that's some observations I wanted to pass on along with my many thanks for those who've jumped into the challenge either as a returnee or a first timer. Whichever one you are I appreciate you taking the time to work on a difficult image and hope you stick around for a bit or drop by the challenge when you can.
That's about as much stalling I can probably get away with so without further ado, I nominate rawr as the host for #270 for this version:
Congratulations mate, I hope you can find something different, difficult or both to throw down the gauntlet for PP Challenge #271.
