Thanks Racer. Railroad tracks are nearby, so there may be plans for this bridge. They recently opened the new TexRail Express which runs right through town.

That is an old bridge, built in the days when steel was riveted and then painted silver (a color typical of railroad structures). I can see ties but no rails.

It looks to me like it was removed and set aside, to be disposed of later.

Of course - that makes much more sense They completely rebuilt the old rail depot on Main St, and this may have been used there at one time.
