I'm back. Pulling in my Oly E5MII just for fun. I might have been too harsh to it at beginnig. I have been spoiled with K-1, but that should not mean that I could not have fun with these little ones too. After all image quality is good enough.

OK my "daily" friends, anyone got anything interesting to trade for my K70? Love to have a k5IIs for example.

my K-5 IIs has been here less than a week - no, thank you....

You have far too much gear, tell you what, you use it for a few days and sell it to me =)

I look on Ebay now and then and it seems only Japan has nice used K5IIs.
Let me know what you think of the camera?

I bought mine on eBay, from Roberts' Camera, six month warranty, etc...

they have another one for sale:

Pentax K-5 IIs 16.3MP Digital SLR Camera Body #326 27075220737 | eBay

anyway, about the camera itself: I'm grateful that I bought two K-3's before I bought this body, because I sincerely doubt I would have ever moved to the K-3 platform... and the shutter sound is pure sex....

(that last bit may be a bit much)

Yes, comparing any m4/3 to a K-1 is definitely asking a bit much! From what I see the Oly is really quite good, just not 14.6 EV of dynamic range good. The smaller size comes with some limitations - just accept them and make it a challenge to work around them when they get in the way

Also If I use my oly for longer time with EVF my eye begins to feel funny, and not in good way. have to change to LV soon. With OVF, I can look through it all day and no problem.

it's the refresh rate for the screen - I'm susceptible to migraines that can be triggered by that flicker if the refresh rate is too low, so I really tend to stay away from EVF's, along with computer monitors that cannot refresh faster than my eyes' ability to see the flicker...

What about a K-01... Or have you already got one? I liked my K5 but I like my K3 more. Can't say the shutter sound turns me on though...

Who is going to contribute to the "Eight" theme tomorrow? No ideas here yet but will try to keep it in mind. And "Shadow" on Sunday.
