Late last month I posted an image of the seed capsules on a desert rose (Adenium obesum) out in the garden...well the capsules have matured and begun to split open. The seeds have lots of "hairs", similar to dandelions, which carry them on the wind. Here's a shot of one of the capsules, with a few sees ready to fly

Ixora coccinea, a common landscape plant here, usually trimmed to a hedge or shrub. There are newer hybrids in a lot of colors, this is the "classic" ixora planted decades and decades ago.

They look like petunias to me, but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Very pretty, whatever they are!

Thanks, Tony. I love this jasmine, the plants are handsome even without flowers. I just wish the flowers lasted longer than they do!

You are very welcome, my pleasure. I just remembered that my wife grows these and we really enjoy the fragrance they produce, especially in the evening with cool

breezes. Again, a very pretty floral photograph. )

Orange Nehi or Orange Julius? You decide. :))

Taken with: Canon EOS 7D MK II and a Canon EF-S 55~250mm, IS, STM Lens.

Thanks a million for viewing. On a day with 100+ degrees however, there is relief in sight. Should be down to an even 100 degrees tomorrow. Phew!! )

Thanks, Tony, much appreciated. Just trying to capture the goodies flowering in the yard/garden recently! Actually there are several more, if I can figure out how to capture them, looks like it may involve ladders or somesuch, the plants are way above head level and the flowers higher than that. I can, of course, drag out a longer lens but the angle from below won't be all that good <sigh> But they're quite lovely so I'll try.
