Shots in the can... Will post later. Fa 31 is wider than I conceptualized.

On k-1 vs K-3.

Yes, though I was very familiar with FOV from shooting on a 35mm camera, 5 years of crop factor had changed my perspective.

I did shoot yesterday, but did not upload yet.

A unexpected detour took me past my friendly local camera store. I went in because I neded a replacement lens cap for the DA 40mm LTD. I love the design and look of the screw in cap, but I wanted a "snap-cap" for when I'm out shooting. While I was there I found a 135mm f2.8 Takumar Bayonet, in want appeared to be perfect condition, it looks like it was seldom used. I tried it out on the K-1, and was pleased with the results. For the price of US $60, I can easily forego autofocus and autoaperture. I'll be using it later today.

Congrats! Didn't know there is a f2.8 Bayonet variant.. Have long had a copy of the 135 f2.5 Bayonet variant that I've enjoyed.

The 2.8 variant is supposedly superior. Great catch.

I have had a month already. Crappy weather until today. Sick starting yesterday. I do have a couple more shots I need to post. One with dfa 24-70, another with fa 50 1.4 wide open. Will post when I can stay awake.

Hi everyone, apologies for the absence of photos and comments - I've been laid low by a nasty bug. Feeling better today and hope to be back in action soon, Simon

This is going to be a good month, I can feel the force. I have a K5IIS coming, and a Lumix 14mm. Pepper berry farm would not sell me his K5iis so I had to go shopping.
Now to sell my K70 and all will be well, till my next bout of GAS.
