A pristine Auto-Takumar 55 1:2.2 arrived today. Only a few years older than me but in much better shape. Not done a prime for a couple of months so it might be this. It has 10 blades and the bokeh is meant to be fun.

I might have to rethink my earlier decision, now with Rense and Jack coming back. These old guys need an old gal to keep em in line, eh? LOL

I've a few newly bought lenses I can test out I haven't played with yet. I'll let you know come the first.

Still no decision. Another impulsive buy coming in to day. Maybe that one. (It was very cheap, seller said it had fungus, but I could see none in the pics. We'll see how bad it is).

Sweet!

Also, I'm definitely going with the Jupiter-37A (135mm f/3.5). It's a "Winter Olympics" commemorative in very good condition. I've had it out for the past few days, taking winter landscapes, and this thing ROCKS.

Glad to see some returning SIC people

Nice to see some people getting back into the swing of SIC, after a month of fisheyes I am hanging for something at the other end , I have an M 135mm that I was tempted to try but the moon is in my targets this month so I think something a little longer is required, the SMC F 300mm f4.5 should fit the bill nicely. The ability to pop it on the Pentax Q with the K adapter should have the local birds nervous for their privacy if all goes to plan. I have had this lens from new and used to use it as a motorsport lens where I was able to get the whole car in the photo at the track near where I lived, lately it hasn't been getting the attention it deserved so SIC for February it is.
I hope Photolady can spark up and get her eye in again

I'm going to try Gary. We're supposed to have warmer weather the second week into February, and I'm seeing my new doctor this month sometime, maybe he can figure out why everything I eat doesn't taste good and why I can't gain weight and why I have no energy.

Well the lens that came in today doesn't only have fungus (which I knew about beforehand) But also a sticky aperture (which I didn't know about). I've found a long and elaborate disassembly manual, but I don't think I'll have time and patience to have a functional lens tomorrow. So No Kiron 28-85 F2.8-3.8 for February. I haven't shot with the Chinon 50mm F1.4 in K-mount yet. So I think I will use that one.

Hmmm, if you join, I should consider joining as well. It had been more than two years ago, and I hardly took any pictures last year.

Be nice to see your contributions again

Well I think I'm all prepped for the month; A135/2.8 on the K-1 it is.
To bail me out on difficult days I've got some filters to try out, a Raynox M150 to bolt on and the 1.7x AF adapter for some extra reach.
Some days as well I'll be comparing the lens to the F 70-210 just for curiosity.

Any other ideas welcome
