true --- time zones. didn't think of that. but a smaller group could work...

No image from me today. 13 intense hours at work sort of ruined the mood Hope I'll be back in the game tomorrow.

Little video from today, With Pentax K-1, from Finland with love

Just to try out my new tripod, I got Sirui kinohead to smooth out panning. Seems to work out well.

I was looking at Sirui ball heads last week. Driven by thought to dump Manfrotto Quick Release in favorite of Arca. Your pans were super smooth. I loved it. TFS!

Very nice. The snow bollards in the rivers and the little bird are great.

Very nice! I'd like to look into video, but I'm afraid it will be way too time consumig... This is inspiring, though.

Hah, yes, the white-throated dipper is a hardy little fella. It's our national bird, quite different from those fierce eagles most seem to prefer

I like eagles too, but they are quite hard to find in our country. Have seen them, but when I get my camera out, they are long gone. I think that they saw me too. This does not get so scared so easy, and it is actually really beautiful bird, when you get close and have good light.

I have developed some interest for video and it has gotten more and more serious. Gear has big role in it too, so it is not just time. Luckily Pentax has okayish video. More important is good solid tripod, with great kinohead, microphones, light. ect. I bought that Sirui VH-10X kinohead, and Benro half cup + manfrotto tripod. It does make difference. Trying that with photo tripod is night and day difference. Yes, time consuming and also money, but I think that great tripod, and other gear will serve me well for several years. Even if my video thing will not go further. I'd like to think it as living picture. I did see couple video artists doing still like clips. it was inspiring. I'm looking forward to get to spring when snow begins to melt, to get that as pictures, but as video too. Going to get little a bit better mic for that, maybe. This video was shot with cameras own mic because I forgot my røde home.

A lot of family time over the weekend - which is good for me even if it's not good for photography... And work hours are a bit unpredictable right now, so I missed today as well. Hope to be back in business soon.
