Post Processing Challenge #286 - Peter's Canyon

Well the light was flat this morning, so you have your work cut out for you... Do whatever you want and as many entries as you want. Will close it next Wednesday 2/20.

Download Raw (.ORF)
Download Jpeg

This kind of light, calls for black and white.

The steps and path leading off to the left seemed to take me out of the picture, so a tighter crop and then I tried to inject some drama, particularly in that sky.

I prefer black and white as it is an improvement without misrepresenting the scene, but this was fun to do.

That's interesting and I'm guessing it doesn't do that to me because I'm so familiar with the area... But someone else said something similar as you on my DIC post of this shot, so I believe you, and as a fan of your treatments in general, I really like your take on the image and appreciate you taking the time...

Pixie I like your version too but the darkness of the center structure is a bit distracting for me.

I was really expecting bw's here thanks to the light and Nessie delivered in fine fashion. I'm torn though for choosing the winner because I really like how Mobusaki decorated the place too....

I'm giving the final nod to Nessie. Congrats! Nessie if you can't host the next round, please try to pass to Mobusaki. Thanks all for playing.
