Thanks Charlie. Seem to be a lot of names and stories based on Gog and Magog! (Although Wikipedia suggests that Magog Quebec was an abbreviation of an indigenous word for "vast lake".)

And then there's Lake Chargoggagoggmanchauggagoggchaubunagungamaugg in Massachusetts. Usually shortened to Lake Webster for obvious reasons.

About 1,700, I think. It's not really that big a building. But who counts.

Some of the neighbouring buildings.

...and a family photo.

I think they did a good job with this row of blocks - it's the Barcode Project. The placement is not good at all, making up a wall between the fjord and much of the city, but I really like the buildings.

Of course, now they are boxing them in with new rows of buildings, most of which look to be clad in greyish green plastic. Hopefully the end result won't be all bad, but I'm not convinced. And as usual I never got around to documenting the area properly before the new buildings started popping up.

Something very different; the cathedral in Rouen, France. Not too easy to get a good angle on the thing.
