I've given up asking why and just accept when it does! This image was part of a sequence I took as this group of people crossed the street. This one was somehow the best. There was a bit of cropping, but some how the configuration of the strides clicked in this one, reading "better" than the others. I find the same thing when I'm deciding between panning shots of cars. Some of them are clearly, immediately superior on a gut level.

Cool! I've got a Helios 58/2; I've seen people do the reversed front element thing with it, too. I think I should play with it more right way around before I try taking it apart, though!

thanks! i tried it the helios 44M i have without success.....the front element would hit the other glass.....reckon it would not matter with that particular one as it rather broken anyways.....
