Does anyone have google cardboard? It is 3d images or videos in a simple way. I took 2 photos quickly handheld about 2 inches apart auto aligned and cropped square. put them side to side and its 3d sort of in a cardboard viewer.

What a great idea for a thread! A true joy of photography is making interesting images by manipulating time and space. I do not do this often enough, but occasionally I get a wild idea, or a happy accident.

I love this thread idea! I haven't been around much lately, but over the years, I've played around with hings like holding Canon and Minolta lenses onto my Kr body by hand because they don't mount to shooting "macro" shots of bugs through a bunch of extension tubes by hand-holding the camera and rocking back and forth until the critter was in focus.

This one is a favorite of mine. It's the camera taking a photo of itself by using a couple of mirrors and a remote to fire the shutter.

This one involved a polarizer and an old school cross-filter screwed onto the lens to shoot some ice melting.

This was an old 50mm/1.4 with some of those screw on magnifier (close up) filters.

Shot an upside-down lens through another lens (which inverted it) and move the camera back and forh until the back lens was in focus.

I've tried the zooming while the shutter is open a few times and I never could get it right. It's neat seeing the variations on that theme int his thread. Great stuff!

I don't know that this is a trick, but there are times when the longer exposure really adds a dynamic feel to the shot SilverHandsBW by Rob Gutkowski

Also, using the multiple exposure feature of the K-5, I captured some friends and I at breakfast. I think I should try this again, but use masking filters as well as moving the changes and other objects out of the frame to prevent transparency. Breakfast Club by Rob Gutkowski

A longer shutter speed and vertical panning helped keep this car in focus

Birds need to be captured with at least 1/250 second, or this happens [COLOR="Silver"]

An idea I'd had for a while.

Some from my archive - flowers (or anything really) immersed in water, then frozen. Take out of freezer then take pictures before or during the de-frost processRe-freeze multiple time if you like fr different effects

Does not have to be flowers. Back in the dim and distant past of film I used a dead damsel fly. Lost that particular slide though.

Brilliant, it's more than just a trick with the camera.

More slow shutter speed play:

Shutter speed only, no zooming. Sigma 50mm macro (not that you'd be able to tell...)

Very moody. I love how the drummer on the right has become the actual act of drumming. Great capture!
