Works for me.

IMO, not so much, but it does show the value of artificial lighting, because the subjects are very distinct, and the details are sharp.
I know so little about artificial lighting in practice, maybe if one or both lights had gels, grids, or other modifiers to create a subtle (or not) difference between the two. Maybe a shot with some motion, and one light triggered at the opening of the shutter and the other trailing to the close of the shutter? I wouldn't want to discourage your participation, so please let us see what else you come up with, I look forward to learning from your results.
Coincidentally, I intended to post that the earlier hours of sunset, along with the longer and later hours of darkness allow for more long exposure and low light experimentation. Since the weather has been unseasonably warm, I have fewer excuses not to stay out after dark and try some night shooting.
