A new trick. On my walk this morning, I discovered I had an 81b warm up filter in my kit unused and still in its cellophane. I thought it would make a nice diffusing filter.

And a before and after huff picture

Needed a “cat” photo for a 52 week photo challenge I’m in. Here’s a multiple exposure of our lawn outside and the top of a music box.

Nice idea. I provides me with a solution to a problem I have been pondering for a while. I have wanted to incorporate an image of Tenniel's Cheshire Cat (from the original Alice in Wonderland illustrations, into a still life. Now I have the answer!

Disappointed with some of my attempts at slide copying, I decided to try something I remembered from the film days - adding texture by using paper behind your slide as you copy it. I used to use watercolour paper back in the day, but not having any with me nowadays, I resorted to kitchen roll. So, these images are of a 645 Velvia slide. First is the (disappointing) attempt to get a nice digital copy on my K3 via a light box, then using the kitchen roll background and finally the one I like most, the in camera sepia conversion for a real old world look.
