What happens when you bump the pixelshift button when you are hand holding and panning a bit. Just gotta find a use for it!!. This was in a bamboo grove with a samyang 8mm

Accidental double exposure

I had been playing with intentional double exposures in the Champions Park Wetlands area and got momentarily distracted. When I saw the butterfly I’d forgotten I was still in that mode. However the accident came out far better than my deliberate attempts. Makes an attractive wall paper if nothing else.

Stupid bicycle trick: shooting while cycling. Looks like there was a little camera rotation happening, too.

Hey, at least I wasn't texting....

Very nice! I like how all the legs and feet are gathered together under the body. Makes me think of one of Muybridge's horse shots.

Night-time panning with the A 35-105. I like the metalic scribbles that are happening with the wheel covers here.

Yes, handheld. Just standing beside the road, pressing the shutter, following the subject and seeing what happens at the other end. I enjoy the unpredictability of the interplay of motion, light on metal, and time.

It really seems to have worked well.

Thanks! Funny thing is, I'm not into cars at all, but they paint pretty light trails, and the way light reflects off the curved surfaces of the body panels and wind screens is almost infinitely variable. Add to that my own not-necessarily steady hand movement, along with any wacky zooming I add to the mix and it's a nice recipe for surprising results.
