No video for now but maybe I can do a proper how to now that I have a better feel for it, I fear it isn't really that exciting or structured though. More of a random process, come to think of it a lot of my photography is quite random in approach, very little planning involved.
Cool! That second shot looks like an image of aurora taken from Earth orbit!

Exactly what I was going for. This one is actually 2 exposures, first one I got the planet shape and the second was more of a general blurry cloud that I layered on top for the effect I wanted. Used coloured flash gels to get the blue and green.

Manual settings to get only the illuminated rim of the mug and the steam, used the lowest ISO and narrowed the aperture to allow for a longer exposure in the strong lighting

Nicely lighted. Good choices.

Thank you! I'd been trying to accomplish a shot like this for a while, but the grey days kept the proper light from coming through the window.

Long Exposure in a moving vehicle, the Av setting compensated for the dark of the tunnel and so was overwhelmed light conditions as the speed of the vehicle took it back into daylight.

I don't know how stupid it is (!?), but I enjoy using shadows instead of people

A trail created from a slower shutter speed and flash.

Nice idea , but cropping off the right third at the edge of the building would make the main shadows more prominent.

I like the fact that the photographer is also a shadow figure.

With the crop the image is more balanced and less disturbing. It is also more restful and therefore could be considered more appealing. What we would be seeing is the suggestion of someone enjoying a nice drink in some warm evening or morning sun. Without it adds a sinister element to the image. The addition of the photographer's shadow suggests a voyeur is at work, and you begin to sense the start of a story. Crop or not? Hmmm. Not sure on this one.
