Too long days at work encroach on my commenting time, I'm afraid. And this weekend will be taken up by kids and grandkids It means I might not get much time for shooting and/or posting, though.

I will be in a very scenic place tomorrow, it might give me enough subjects to catch up on my lack of posting.

You know how sometimes you put in a ridiculously low offer for a lens and are totally surprised when you get it and you wait for it to arrive, reading the reviews you should have read properly before buying it, and hope it will be a decent lens? The A 50/2.8 macro that arrived today has blown me away with how good the shots from a quick test walk look straight out of the camera. This is a seriously good lens.

I just needed to share that with some people who would understand...

totally understand it... I read the reviews, but I also look at the images taken with the lens, too...

Agree, the images show if the reviewer actually knows what they are talking about... Reviews where the lens has been used for single in carry more weight for me too. The worst are people who review before they've got to know the lens or who complain because a Tak is manual focus...

agreed - many reviews are just like that: had the lens for thirty minutes, no pics taken, but it's an awful lens, etc...

Just tried to post this on yesterdays image but I guess you don't allow links to be posted.
I too was taken back by the lack of image sync functionality but there is a solution from Ricoh, GR Remote

Sorry for disappearing - I've spent a couple of days in bed. Back on my feet now, but going away for a few days. Might not get much camera time - and will only bring a small laptop not really fit for PP work. There, all the excuses lined up and presented

Two weeks of holiday stretch out before me so no more excuses for rushed shots... And I've got new toys to play with.
