I plan to give my F17-28 a bit of a workout in the Daily In Challenge for April. It's a nice lens, but I don't really use it, so I'm sure a trip to Finland could be arranged

don't know about Finland but the F17-28 is fun to use. Just like the DA 10-18 on an APSc body. Should be a fun month for you.

I will do what I can, probably using the DA-21 on the K-1, unless I lose my senses and pick up the FA-24mm I saw in my local store last week.

Sure, welcome. May I suggest late June as the days are longest then. And I still have that 13yo Laphfroaig Brodir unopened waiting for you

Or did you mean just the lens? It can also be arranged. I'll pm you my address.

I didn't chime in about the Sigma 24/1.8, did I?

Good that lens was not on offer. Until I walked into my local, I had no idea that 24mm lens existed. Sure, it is sweet, and makes for a nice UWA option for the K-1, as opposed to my Takumar 17mm FE.

He sure is with all those fancy lenses he has... Or had

Put two lenses on sale today. I hope they sell, as I already spent the money on two new lenses

Goodbye 17/4 fish and 21ltd. Hello Takumar 200/3.5 and F17-28 fish. I can easily blame this society for these, thought Sandy is personally responsible only for the latter.

Since my K-5 was severely damaged, rather than replace my APS-C I am considering selling off most of the DA lenses I own. I will never sell my 17mm F4, too precious in its IQ

I could replace my K-5 with a used K-3, but I also like the GRIII, a compact camera with full manual controls is very promising, IMO. Then again, with the NEw GRIII coming out, I mght see a GR II on the used market that will do the trick.

As a side note, I have no trouble buying new gear, but photographers, like musicians, turn over lightly used gear regularly, especially here on PF, so I always look at options here before I buy new.

Jupiter-9 85/2 with its smooooooooooooth bokeh? Industar 50/2 (the smallest lens I own)? Or something completely different? Still undecided...

I'd love to see what you can do with the Industar. I had the travelling copy briefly, but moved it on before really giving it a whirl.

I got my K-30 Blue Knight working again thanks to member reh123, he suggested I use the AA adapter to fix the broken battery clip that broke. His was broken off too. So, I grabbed my adapter, inserted some Eneloops and viola! It's working again. I'll be using it this month with the lens of choice to give it a work out after being idle for two months, it needs it.

Sorry, Sandy, but I decided to go a different path: I probably will use the Zenitar 16mm F2.8 for April. It's more versatile, and I expect much time indoors, and a F3.5 lens will be too challenging. Besides, I am in for something wider, to make some shots of our new house too.... Probably another month, my apologies again....
