Great idea for a thread. Here's some of the simple pleasures of life in a little Devon town:

Pagan fertility rituals (we sometimes leave out the human sacrifice part nowadays, except for special occasions).

Sophisticated cafe culture at the little charity bookshop where I volunteer.

And of course the annual recruitment visit from the Galactic Empire:

Excellent collections of images, both Noel and Dave!
Here's one from Friday... a glass sculptor who makes some fantastically magical glass marbles. The biggest was about as big as a golf ball, but most are smaller, and are intricately detailed and just spectacular. I regret not having a macro lens with me on this occasion.
