Between no sleep and a 14 hour work day there was only time for a movie and a beer when I got home on the 4th. No photo I'm afraid.

But Sammy's on the mend so it's all good

Good to hear Sammy is doing better.

Mmmmm I held a S-Tak 35/2 today but resisted. Simon... did you need that one?

Since tomorrow is World Oceans Day, I've declared tomorrow a dual theme opportunity. One or both themes qualify.

There are days when I wish I lived closer to the ocean, even a rainy day is fine. But 3+ hours drive, and the traffic, means it won't happen today. I look forward to seeing the photos from the coastal Pentaxians

I am excited because I have booked my travel plans for two weeks at the end of June and beginning of July; Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, National Parks in Utah and Colorado, 2 days in Denver before we fly home. The FA 24-90 will be the likely "go-to" lens , but I'm bringing the Takumar 17mm and Takumar Bayonet 135mm. Depending on the final luggage situation I will either have my tripod, bean bag, or monopod for long exposure night shots and such. I need to get an ND filter for the FA 24-90, otherwise I have about everything else I need.

My mother in law passed away suddenly today so I'll be in and out of posting for the next couple of weeks. She was truly the best mother inlaw ever.

Sorry to hear that Bill. Kind thoughts are with your family. My MIL was up there with the best too.

A few days away from home for work, then I start two weeks' vacation!

I am sorting out my travel kit, I usually travel light and make the best of the camera and lens combo I have. In this case it will be the K-1 with the FA 24-90 Zoom 90% of the time. MY 40mm XS is always with me, and I will take the Takumar 17mm Fisheye to take in the wide open views of the Grand Canryon and the Rockies. I am considering bringing the DA 18-135 and using it in crop mode if the weather is bad. I'd hate to miss a shot because of a little rain.(dust, sandstorm, hail)

Two accessories arrived in time, a Lume Cube carrying kit for two Cubes, gel and modifiers in a fairly compact and well organized case,, and a Pluto Trigger multifunction remote. I also bought an ND 8 filter, to allow for some longer exposures and hopefully mitigate some for the harsh lighting conditions I will be in. I can't avoid that, we want to see several places so I'll have to be out in the midday sun, but I should have time to make sure I am in place for some great golden hour and blue hour shots. My wife has never been to this region of America, so she's setting the itnierary to see everything she has hoped to see. She also prefers to drive, which frees me up for shooting on the fly.

This will surely be a great trip!

In progress, ran through one 64 GB card worth of RAW and one of JPEG, and a week left of vacation.
