Thank you astonm for hosting #308.

For #309 your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to bring brilliance to these images taken at Lipan Point of Grand Canyon. You are provided three bracketed photographs to work with. You may use any single, all or any combination.

It's been a while and I really loved the capture and had to jump in and have a go.

All three images were combined in On1 2019 using the HDR process then further PP undertaken to create my version.

Thanks for the teaser, Glenn. I am heading to the South Rim in early November. Can't wait to be there again (for ~22 time!). I'm taking one of my friends from Brittany who's never been there before. i can't wait to see the look on her face when she stands at the edge for the first time.

I shall return with a processed image!

It's a pretty image. I don't think I've had a go at these challenges before. Here is my take. Done in Affinity Photo using the Blend Range with all 3 images, so no HDR processing. Blend Range is similar to luminosity masking. Plus a bunch of curves, levels, and other adjustments, minor final tweaking in LR6

An amazing picture Glenn, thanks for posting it. Here's my rendition, I've forgotten what I did though!

It is time to bring #309 to a close. I want thank each of you who participated in this and past challenges and keep them going.

Well lets get to it....

Tas - Good to have you back! A nice well balanced image, retaining the storm clouds to the right, the colors of the sunset to the left and still keeping the canyon visible.

photocles - A bright image while still retaining the stormy feel of the day.

Metafrastis - A great job enhancing the rays of the sun and drawing the focus of the image to the sun.

aitrus3 - Wonderful job of bringing out the colors of the sunset.

todd - An excellent job of sharpening and bringing out the details of the canyon. The most vibrant color of the entries and truly brings the "wow" to the image. Well done!

vector - You chose a cooler temp for the image, befitting the evening hour well.

tuggie76 - A very nice, but subtle enhancing of the sun's rays into the canyon.

noelcmn - You elected to shine a beam of light into the canyon from the sun. The beam naturally draws the viewer's attention through the canyon and to the sun.

mariwalt - An excellent job at retaining the stormy feel of the day with the sun peaking underneath the clouds.

Well done everyone, but I must select one to bestow the honor of hosting 310.

I will bestow this honor to todd! Congratulations!

Thanks for the feedback, and well done everyone, it's always great to see how many variations are created from the one scene.

Congrats todd, an excellent version and a worthy choice as winner.
