today went a bit better having the sun out for back lighting...using cactus v6 to remotely trigger the K-1 while cactus v6ii triggered the flashes using HSS when the K-1 was fired....FA43..Barney helped again …..the v6 triggering is the work around since relay mode on the v6ii does not work with HSS but does at sync speed

That really has a medium format look to it. Are you sure it's not a Brenizer? Nice.

Hi folks!! I just discovered this thread. It sounds like fun! When I first started learning photography I used a Canon superzoom which had no RAW capabilities, only JPEG. So for the first year and a half I had no choice but to shoot in JPEG! I use RAW now with my KP, but often use the “in-camera” raw development to save time and if I got the exposure/composition right the first time, which I always try to do, but sometimes I get excited and meter incorrectly, or tilt the horizon, or don’t crop tightly enough, ETC… I always felt that shooting JPEGs was similar to using film in that there is less latitude and less room for error, and it would behoove you to get it right the first time because there may not be a second chance!! So, I would say that SOOC is a challenge to really step back and consider what you are shooting as you will largely have to live with what you get! I think I will shoot for a while in JPEG or RAW+ and see what I can do and how I can improve. Thanks for the thread and thanks for sharing all your shots!! I will see if I can get something interesting to post!

I usually shoot Raw+ and lately have been comparing shots, in LR and DCU, often the SOOC is nearly identical to the LR processed file. By the way, if that's your photo in you avatar, you look just like a young David Bowie! /s
