Similar here. The camera saved it as raw, all I did was drop it in lightroom and save it as a jpeg

Op said dust spots is fine, just no changes. The whole idea is that we start to nail it in camera certainly something I need to do more of
Glad to see we're on the same page.

You might wanna be a little careful there with dragging the RAW into LR and Exporting as Jpg, LR can still apply its own colour profile for example. See the images attached below.

Note that some camera models (like the KP) don't even get the Camera Matching one, and if you took the RAW shot in the camera with say 'Reverse Film' as it's Custom Image then it will absolutely not show up in LR from the RAW file, it's lost/unsupported.

The best thing to do in this case is use the camera's own RAW Development tool (press downward arrow during the file playback on the screen), and then extract/save the RAW file as a Jpg and use that, then Custom settings taken at the time of the shot (or added in post via Digital Effects) will be carried over to the Jpg and you don't need to even visit LR

These were taken a couple of weeks ago at Wrest Park, an English Heritage property in Bedfordshire.

The camera used was a Pentax K-70 with an HD Pentax D-FA 28-105 WR zoom lens which gives great quality on APS-C.

This was at bright harsh daylight, underexposed a lot, but i really liked how the atmosphere turned out. PK-M 135 on K-1. SOOC JPEG extracted from DNG with dcraw.

A few more taken at Wrest Park but, unlike the first set (Post #36) which were the whole frame, these have been cropped in the camera.

Indeed! There are pros and cons and preferences and that's about it. Find a way that works for you and enjoy your photography.

But even for a "shoot raw and process the heck out of it" person like myself there is great value in knowing the capabilities of one's cameras. At times I'm away from my "darkroom" PC and have to make do with what my camera can do. That would be frustrating if I had no notion of the in-camera editing possibilities available.
