Look down, awaaay down...

We've got a great thread for The View Upward for looking up: here's a thread to take us in the other direction. Whether it's something directly underfoot (and your feet are more than welcome to be in shots submitted here), the view looking down from a hilltop or mountainside, or looking down from 30,000 feet (or from orbit, if you can get there), post your downward looking images of whatever you like. Be creative! Have fun, and enjoy!

I guess Humans aren't the only species that wonders what's at the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
