Thanks! It's an Abutilon, related to Hibiscus. This particular one is a hybrid called "Biltmore Ball Gown".

Indeed, yes, this plant is an heirloom from Biltmore Estate. I think it's been propagated to be widely available in the garden plant trade nowadays...the one I photographed was in my former employer's garden (hence the Nikon camera). It was always a conversation piece when it was blooming.
