Post Processing Challenge #315

Taken a few years ago in southern New South Wales. Early morning mist with kangaroos. I have edited this several times and never quite happy with the results. Challenge closes November 21st local time

Thank you.

It would have been my SuperTakumar 1:3.5/135.

I should use it more.

I went for a tighter crop as I like the path running from left to right and I tried to bring some more detail out

I made a normal version and a BW with slightly different cropping.

This is a nice image. I really didn't want to do too much to it, as I liked it as is was. I just did a little selective exposure to pull out some of the details in the trees and added a crop. Not much I wanted to mess with.

Gorgeous shot to work with! Not sure my wider crop is an improvement - it probably makes it more of a beautiful landscape shot with roos rather than an image of roos in a beautiful landscape. If that makes any sense...

Anyway, warmed it up a bit and tried to bring some more depth into the background.

Went with a 16:9 crop and aimed for a unique interpretation to those above.
