Nice image. I really like the bare feet (they echo the skin tones of her face in the upper part of the photo).

I like the way you have her posed (even if she is a bit tilted, she is no danger of falling off the stool). Everything leads towards her face and complements the angles of the stool.

What did you use for the blue backlight? The lighting is interesting, did you use any modifiers? Thanks for sharing!

I think almost all the blues gels that came in a cheapy assortment pack I got from china......held in place on the af360fgz by rubberband.......the main lights were continuous led panel lights with barn doors.....other than the gels no modifiers

I often like the look of single color extract shots. But I honestly dislike this. I'm sorry to say this because I like most of your shots that you have shared. I don't like the green or the model looking away.

I know this isn't posted in the critique forum so if this is too much I'll delete my comments. As someone who doesn't shoot models I'm a fine one to talk!

nah ain't too much....i'm quite open to about any and all comments good or bad.....it must have moved you enough to say so......not sure if the context of creating/getting images for Maggie Meyers irish pub would change your mind but that was why the green....also like getting the 'B' type shot or the looking away when it comes to models/portrait stuff but that's me.....it was a good learning experience and hope to improve!

This is something I would really like to work on. I have never done much portrait work. Getting the eyes and skin tones perfect seems to be a real challenge for me. I took a few of my daughter for graduation. As I said, improvement is needed, I just need to practice.

Natural light with a K10D and Fujinon 135 EBC lens.
