Hmmmm. Maybe so, maybe so...

I suppose I’d better join the group then.

I acknowledge that LBA is trying to burn holes in your pockets, but have you done any objective tests on your 18-135 with maybe some fine adjustments in camera? If it's proved deficient, is it still in warranty? Even if it isn't, a return to the distributor seeking restoration may be in order depending on Canada's consumer protection laws, if you think it's a manufacturing defect. Many users seem to generate really excellent images with this lens.

My only issue is those days where I take only one photo (or keep only one); I’d have to skip here or Single for that day.

Yeah, that's one of the rules ... a good excuse to score two keepers each day? TBH I've not been brave enough to play both at once, but it's interesting watching others rise to the challenge(s) .

Well, we’ll have to see how it goes, I guess.

oh come on - running both since July 2017 here.... one more shot isn't that bad....

the trick is to NEVER use the same shot for both AND try to give the Daily a different theme than the Single...

I go out every day with the thought to get three shots for the day...

My shooting and uploading is feast or famine, but I think a crop or BW conversion can change one shot into two

+1, there is a whole thread showing off the quality of the 18-135mm. I've kept it to use in crop mode on my K-1 because it is consistently good and versatile as a walk-around lens. I agree with checking it out technically, and often it's a matter of slowing down and checking settings to get a better result, no matter the lens.

That's a worthy goal, you do much better than I do in attaining it.

Thanks for the explanation, Rod. Among the ANZACs I noticed a lot of good-natured (?) joking regarding the differences between the two countries. I'm making plans for 2021 to be the year I get to visit both.

A good achievement for sure, but horses for courses ... the combinations of family, work, health, travel, etc bear differently for each of us. Plus there are varying commitments to photography outlets; multiple forums and differing levels of participation etc ...

Not everyone is well placed to commit to daily posting/commentary for an entire month, and it's that ongoing effort that underpins the success of both Daily In and Single In challenges. For my circumstances, one of these is plenty

I'm on around 20 months of posting in both Daily and Single. My tip is to always take at least 2 lenses with you and shoot lots.
