Well, I forgot my M42-to-K adapter at home when I packed my lenses for vacation, so no 35mm for me in January. I’ll be doing the Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7 instead.

The M 50 1.7 is a great lens , enjoy the month and vacation

Well I chose the DFA50 1.4 rather than the 70-200 as I am heading off on holiday at the end of the month and the 50 should be an easier travel lens. Looking forward to seeing how it performs, I purchased it a few months ago and haven't played with it other than to check the focus.

Decided to join for January. Hopefully I will have more time for photography this year since I have not set a distance goal for cycling in 2020. Last year it was 30000km and I ended up cycling
31 653,8 kilometres (19 668,76 miles). Since people were talking about 35mm I chose the quaint litte Surveillance XY 35mm 1:2.8

I'm in! It's been 2 years since I've joined. I'll be using the Pentax 100mm macro with a recently acquired K-1ii. Excited to see what everyone posts.

I now have the 17/4.0 FE, 28/2.0, 30/2.8, 135/2.5 and 200/2.5 - with serious eyes on a 85/1.8. Will the madness ever end?
No... I've ended-up with 22 K-series primes...

I've decided to try something a bit different and hopefully easier to maintain this month (with lots of teaching but little light) so I am going for the 06 zoom on my Q/Q-S1. Fingers crossed I can manage a better record than of late.

K.

Splendid! It's an astonishingly good lens.

Mate that is nuts. I didn't even drive that distance in 2019 and I did a few weekends away camping and 4wding that covered 2 or 3k

I've had to send the M 35 back as it had sticky aperture blades and was overexposing. The DA 35 plastic fantastic will have to stand in.

The da35 plastic is a fantastic little lens.

I was going to use it for this month but am highly intrigued by the Industar 50-2, it will take a bit of learning, like not to point it anywhere near the sun, haha

Congratulations on the bike riding, I really wish I had set myself a similar challenge for 2020, I will start the 30000 in 2021 and for this year will try for an achievable 3000km

I've read that that is common problem with this model.

I've read that too but was hoping this would be as good as it was described to be. Sadly not, although I did like the few test shots I took with it.

Alright, this is a little off topic, but still relevant. I've been off the forum for a couple of years and am having trouble navigating on my phone. I can find this thread, but not the individual challenge days. Can anybody help? (No trouble finding things on the computer. Using Tapatalk app on phone.)

Thanks!
