I'm definitely not in the same league as many photographers here on PF, and I'm a bit hesitant to even dare to post an entry for this contest. However, I picked this shot because it may help others like me to see possibilities where none seem to exist. In some ways, this shot is all 'wrong'. I was new to the K10D and just shooting whatever to become acquainted with it. I missed focus, had poor DOF, and it didn't turn out at all the way I wanted. But the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. It's probably my most artistic shot in the period covered, though it was never meant to be.

Hey Kevin, not many of us are. The " Pentax Exclusive Gallery " is amazing, but I didn't post as a comparison to them...............hands down I lose.

Really glad you did. I don't think of this thread as a contest to win, but rather a contest to particpate in.
This thread for me is more about making me look at my images and making a decision on what I truly like about my collection. I'm not comparing my image to the lovely landscape and nature shots ( like yours ). So I'm glad that you DARED to post.

Surprise Glacier

I never thought I'd actually be put to the test to make this kind of decision! I'll go with this one from perhaps the most spectacular adventure I've been on...a multi-day kayak trip among the glaciers in Prince William Sound back in 2013. Combined with the timing, its about as close to a "once in a lifetime" shot as I have.

This was taken through the front window of my mother's house. He was waiting for his turn at the bird feeder.

Technically speaking this isn't the best shot I've made this past decade. However it is one that I don't think I can ever recreate. I was fortunate enough to spend some time in 2016 in Paris, and I bought a used Panasonic LX-7 for that trip. I wasn't able to take a more complicated larger set of gear as I was traveling with family and laden like a pack mule already.

In any case, this shot taken inside Notre Dame really grabs me in light of what happened there. The candles weren't lit in prayer for the building then, but in retrospect I am sure that most would be willing to light one for the future of the Grand old building today if they could.

I've always thought Blue Jays had the kind of personality to barge right in. Maybe a bigger bird was at the feeder.

Excellent images around here!
Probably not in the same league, but it embodies the clarion call of many a conservationist, game rangers and lovers of nature- Leave nothing but footprints. given the issues we have these days with plastics in our ocean, we would do well to harken to that clarion call.

I think the one on the left is a woodpecker.

He did get his chance.

This shot reminds me I need to go out and refill my suet cage. I make my own - 5 parts oatmeal and 1 part each of peanut butter, shortening, and corn syrup. Found the 'recipe' on-line for bluebirds, but all the birds love it. BTW, I grew up right down I-75 from you in Hamilton. I miss snow!
