Tring Church

The last image on the card was taken in the Church of St Peter & St Paul, using a hand-held Pentax KP + DA 18-135.

Last of the year on Dec 28th.

No idea what I was attempting to do, probably messing around with auto-focus or something. Whatever, it is not a very inspiring shot.

I went on a hike on a rather gray day, the last thing I did was hike down to the Auglaize River to a spot where a creek flows into it. There are often wood ducks there, but they usually see me before I get there and fly off, and a lot of deer are also in the area, which I would like to catch crossing the stream. Well there were no ducks, deer, turkeys, or anything else, I took a photo anyway and somehow didn't delete it.

surfing

A bit of surf action at the end of the year, this was one of the smaller waves, didn't really have a long enough lens, K-3 with 18-135 for walk around that day.

There was a shot taken with one of my cameras on the 31st, but it was actually taken by nephew. So I need to go two days back to the lovely afternoon where we were visited by my daughter's best friends. It was a joyful, boozy, loose affair which predictably ended up around the pool.

Taken with the FA645 120/4.0 macro on the 645Z. Because it was there.

I will have to check the time stamps - and check the time on the cameras as they tend to be in the wrong time zone

Taken on the 31st at 13:47 local time. When I took it, I was thinking that a passing pedestrian would liven it up a bit. I was in a hurry and there is always a next time. I pass by this doorway a lot, so I left it. It turned out to by my last shot of the year. After some tweaking in Darktable, here it is. I like it as it is. With a human in the frame it would lose the mystery captured here

I rather think 135 was plenty for this shot as it gives the context of the wave. Nicely done.

Sorry, but at least I used a Pentax lens.

Incidentally, I only took seven pictures on the day. The first one was a flop, as I had forgotten that the self timer was still active. The next five were dreadful. Luckily the last one turned out to be a keeper.

A test shot. I have been working on a problem with macro shots. I need a deeper DOF, found one way to get what I want. I googled and found my options were 1.focus stacking (I don't have LR) 2. smallest possible aperture (wasn't working with the lenses I was using) 3. A shorter focal len.... well, I digress, here's the last shot of 2019

It was a win. I found a lens with a f22 and upped the ISO to 800. Macro is not really easy.
