The 2020 Monthly Challenge - January - In the House

This is a Monthly challenge to give us 12 different themes for the year to pursue photography - easy themes but themes that will make us have something to work on.

The full list containing each month's theme is at: The 2020 Monthly Challenge - PentaxForums.com

For January, the theme is "In The House". Anything indoors (it does not need to be in an actual house!). Those of us in the Northern Hemisphere are in the middle of winter so we might see fireplaces, cups of coffee, indoor plants, objects creating interesting lines, and sun rays coming through courtains or blinds... not to mention pets sleeping on the couch or even some food photography! Commit to a daily or weekly photo on the theme and have some fun!

Edit: there has been some confusion, I guess, regarding this Monthly challenge...
First, there are no awards... this is for fun only.
Second, it's not a "ok I posted my picture for the month, I'm done" challenge. It's meant so that you will have something to focus on every month. Ideally, you will post one picture every day based on the theme. But there's no pressure - no one's keeping tabs If you post one a week that's fine. If you post the best shot of the month that's fine too. Just go out and have fun and shoot, and hopefully be challenged to improve your photography.

You know that by posting you just committed to doing the 12 months, right?

That looks perfectly cooked!

Here are my postings from yesterday and today. Yesterday's was kind of rushed, so I got all sentimental. From my daughter's bookshelf:

And here's today's:

Feedback, critique, and constructive criticism always welcome.

Happy shooting everyone!

twice daily I make a 15.5 ounce mug of coffee

using the inverted aeropress method

[ possible interest, the inventor of the aeropress is also the inventor of the Aerobie Flying Disc - Alan Adler, inventor of the Aerobie Flying Disc and the AeroPress coffee maker, tells the stories behind his famous inventions. -
]

elements of the aeropress, hot water source, dark roasted whole bean coffee kept in vacuum container, 20-21 grams measured into hand grinder, mug preheated along with filter, ground coffee in grinder, into inverted aeropress, first pour, second pour, invert and pressed into mug

add heated water and " additives " to fill to 15.5 ounces
