Assuming that it arrives this week, I'll be in with a Sigma 24mm F1.8 DG EX. We are off to Madeira on Saturday for a much awaited holiday, so pictures will be posted on the following weekend.

The decider for getting this lens was seeing the pictures you took when you Singled it.

Hmm have you seen pictures of the old black lenses that have been taken apart, chromed and then put back together, I can't recall the guy's name that does it, however he has previously had some for sale on eBay. That would certainly complete the look with the silver K1, the silver 42mm adapter and silver lens

After a long hiatus, I believe I’m going to join in February. I’ve got my Leica Sumicron 50 f2 mounted to the K1 just waiting.

I'm wondering if I could live with the Q10 and 03 fisheye for a month to see if it will keep up with the big boy fisheyes.

My 50/1.2 I'm shooting with this month was serviced and silvered by dcshooter a few years a ago. I ended up having him do my 3 mostly used K's.... 30/2.8, 50/1.2 and 85/1.8. The most amazing aspect of this was..... none got lost in the post.... for more than one month.

Go for it. I did a month with the 03 way back in the way, and it was a lot of fun.

A word of advice: find the hyperfocal distance and stick a thick rubber band over the focus ring so it doesn't move for the month!

Lol! I did that soon after getting the lens and am paranoid about checking it after missing some shots when it refocused itself. I'll take it out tomorrow with a few other things and see what happens.
