Black and white brings out a character. In this case, a shop keeper of a used camera store here at home. 90 years old, came to Canada after WW2..Has stories to tell... Interesting character. Taken wit a Fuji X-H1 and Helios M 58mm F2.0 Pic taken @ F2

OK, two days ago. When I am in a photo funk, the catholic church in Garstang is a great place for a reset. The light is interesting, we have statues and textures, lovely. This was an in camera raw HDR

the colour version is fab. Oh, its a selfie too

And yesterday, we have a snatched image of the early stages of a naturally forming committee, a quite commonplace event in small market towns.

This month has been great. I haven't gone out to shoot b&w but it has helped me to sharpen up, ready for next month when I am having a completely mono march. I am dropping the single in for a bit and doing the daily in instead. I will be taking out limiteds, vintage glass and even my Fuji mirrorless. I am quite looking forward to it

OK, small cheat, this was taken in October but today I processed it as a b&w. It is the fish market in Cadiz, taken with my KP and 35mm limited

I learned two things:
1. I just learned about this thread.
2. I learned that Black and White is a medium that emphasizes shape and space in composition, and can emphasize a relationship between objects in a bold way.
