I like it. It has some oddity about it and if reliving old memories gets you through these strange times, that's fine by me.
This thread is dedicated to " current isolation " events Pete, not memories. I've got lots of old images too...........................just sayin'.

Now I want to bring out new adventures for Lola. Unfortunately she is "lost" after a move. In 2016 I focused on drama. I think a redo on the comedy of the silent picture era would be fun. Maybe even in b&w.
Boltz, Carl, Jaap, how about some Buster Keaton antics, ya'll are crazy enough.

Due to the coronavirus, the care homes in our country have been closed to visitors for a few months now. Jaap misses going to see his mom, as not even people's nearest and dearest are allowed to visit. He regularly skypes with his mom now, but it's not the same, is it? Last night his mom said she also misses seeing little Jaap. So today Jaap Sr decided to take some nice pictures of Japie and send them to his mom so she can put them up in her apartment. He's set up the tripod, and mounted his camera. (Unfortunately he hasn't got a Pentax.) Now to find a nice set-up before Japie gets bored again.

Those large format cameras with their 1/1.2" sensors are so bulky!

BoltZ is trying out his new Segway scooter.

A few more laps around the workshop and he'll be ready to take Bott for long walks and work off that candy Bott has been eating lately.

Hahaha, they're keeping you busy in your workshop! You'll have a nice collection when this whole thing is finally behind us which will forever remind you of the fun we had! Love it!

Now that schools have partially reopened, little Japie has been going back to school for 2 1/2 days a week. The teacher has asked the class to collect things that remind them of the coronavirus time. So little Japie has ransacked his dad's kitchen cabinets (much to Jaap Sr.'s chagrin). What he's collected, is stuff that people started panick buying: dry foodware, frozen food, toiletpaper (of all things!), tissues, hand gel, face masks, etc. etc. What was it like where you are, Gavin, Carl, BoltZ, and everybody else that I've forgotten to mention?

Carl: Hey, I just read that we were supposed to hoard something.
Me: What are you talking about?
Carl: We were supposed to buy as much toilet paper, hand sanitizer and canned foods that we can find.
Me: I tell you what, you can hoard all the sticks you can find in the yard. Here, I found this nice container to store them in.
Carl: This is great! I'm keeping my hoarded collection of sticks forever!

Jaap: I'm surprised at that, Carl! Did people really not hoard anything where you are?

There was the usually hoarding of TP, canned goods, vitamins, and such, but our household was optimistic about the manufacturers filling the shelves again.
Plus we've been discovering things in the freezer, as we eat our way through the ice laden contents.

Although, I did buy several packages of bacon a few weeks ago, and a ginormous bag of Hershey's miniatures (which Carl doesn't know about ).
