There's only one possible consequence of self-isolation: looking at bits of old photography gear and thinking: "Hmm, what it if was to . . . ?"
I've got this 1947 Kodak 50mm/3.5 that I converted to K mount a couple of years ago but have only ever used on digital APS-C. The Kodak 35RF that I took the lens off was too damaged to run a roll of film through, and I've never shot the lens on a film SLR until now. So I've decided to mount it on my old K1000 and find out how good that ancient lens really is (and it's GREAT on APS-C).
But it turns out that in the year or so since I last used the K1000 my eyesight has deteriorated to the point where I can't focus without a dioptre, so I've made one using the rubber eyecup from a long-dead *ist and the lens from a pair of cheap plastic reading glasses that I had available. ( Sorry these quick handheld snaps aren't great.)
At the moment I can still go out for a walk on the moor despite the social distancing, so I've loaded it up with a roll of ten year expired Fuji Superia 400 and hopefully I'll get some decent weather to try it in.
