My wife just started painting as a hobby. She is experimenting with pouring layers of colors onto canvas in various ways. She doesn't want the paintings photographed because everything's experimental, but I was allowed to take these. The first is a plastic Walmart colander that she poured the paint into. The second is scrap wood on a rotating base. She spins that, then holds the colander over it.

Very nice, your second photo reminds me of s thing called Spin Art that they used to have at the fair when I was a kid. You'd get a "canvas" (mat board actually) that they attached to a spinning base, and you would drop different colors of paint onto it while it spun, of course most of the finished"art" looked the same, it was pretty cool to 10 year olds. Not quite as advanced as your wife's, but a basic part of it.

Very simple but I like it, did you turn the light on just for the photo? It does add to it.
Actually I had just hung the light string, and plugged it in while I was putting the bulbs in, so I could be sure everything was working properly. I took the photo almost immediately after. I was standing there thinking "Doh! I forgot to unplug the cord!" but then I shot it with the light on, and decided I was happy with it that way.

A not too close macro shot withe the Tamron 90. You can see there is a nut on top, but what is the entire object, it's a tool, some of what you see may not be a part of it.

Those two bananas were eaten. The rest of the bunch are in hiding for their own safety.

Cooking in isolation...

A few days ago I picked up some chicken thighs - skin on, still on the bone. They were cheap, looked like decent quality, and were one of the few appetising things left on the fresh meat shelf of the supermarket I'd reluctantly visited.

Today, I decided to make a red Thai curry for our lunch. Comfort food. It also helped with my daily exercise because, having never skinned, de-boned and trimmed chicken thighs until now, I'd no idea how much of a work-out it would be (I'm no chef )...

Anyway... this is diced chicken thigh, potatoes, onion, chestnut mushrooms and plenty of healthy garlic (good for the immune system ), in a red Thai sauce made with coconut milk. Medium hot, but a little hotter than medium I served it up with fluffy white rice, and my Mum and Dad devoured it. So did I

I had an alternate prize, but they were finished off as well . Leftover in the freezer, from Christmas.

What a coincidence. That's what I fixed last night in my Can Cooker, although with white wine, sage, garlic and butter instead of Thai curry (which I love but Mrs. P doesn't).
