Pretty much the same here lidy. Still bare shelves of paper products, no sanitizer of any kind yet, and what meat is available is rationed.

We partially 'reopened' last week and our numbers are slowly but steadily rising.

BoltZ and Bott are confined to quarters until further notice. No shortage of electricity to keep their batteries charged.

BoltZ and Bott consult the crystal ball to see what the new normal will be.

And ...? No such sophisticated forecasting method here, I'm afraid. We have to make do with tea leaves.

After catching Bott with his paws in the candy jar more than once, BoltZ has decided to put Bott on the fat-dog program. Three hours a day on the treadmill should help trim him back down to size and hopefully stem his appetite for sweets.

Since the stay-at-home order is rescinded effective 5PM today BoltZ decided he better hit the gym to beef up a little and make a good appearance at the local area coming out party tomorrow.

They recommend a good posing oil over baby oil to show off your physique.

In BoltZ's case I recommend a good wood oil like Teak or one of these.

I've got some oil in the basement. Now it's just a matter of getting BoltZ into the tub!

Bott, look, we received a post card from John.

He's in New Jersey working on the Boardwalk right next to the beach. He says business is good and picking up each day.

He wishes we were there. I miss John.

Carl: I made something for you David
Me: Really?!?! Let's see.
Carl: It's in the driveway...I know you've been working these past few weeks, and thought you could use a mask for your drive to work!
Me: Thank you Carl.
Carl: Look, I used your rope too. Good thing I showed you that trick a while back.

Little Japie is talking to the neighbours' dogs about his first weeks at school. It must be pretty exciting, 'cause Bluebell (the brown dog) looks quite scared, Jaap Sr thought to himself. Japie's also constantly looking over his shoulder as if he's expecting someone or something. I wonder if he's ever going to tell me. Hmmm ....

My Ank (bread dough mixer) is currently in the operating theatre getting an organ transplant today. It had circuit board failure a couple of weeks ago. The new organ has arrived..... so under the screwdriver it has gone. Unfortunately, due to coronavirus, I have had to resort to using a Vet Nurse to assist (no other medical people would attend). We have taken the Anks vitals (1st picture.... blood pressure normal).... we have a Defib on standby in case of the worst.... not sure how much dough this may cost me... but only the best care possible.

Vitals normal, ready to proceed Dr.

Good news.... operation went well...... Dr said we can expect mixed results from now on.

"new normal" is an overused phrase the news media is using to describe things that are not normal, and should never be. It's getting a little back to normal every day. We traveled this past weekend to a family gathering. While there, we were in a Walgreens on Monday morning (Memorial Day) and they had four different brands of toilet paper in stock and two were at sale prices. We didn't need it, but my wife bought some. We were traveling in a pickup truck with a back seat, I told her we had better cover that up so some TP deprived, crazy from isolation, social distancing whacko wouldn't break in to get it. I was just kidding, kind of.

Just a WARNING: The little one's need to be aware of neighbors bearing gifts since there may be sinister intentions (and she ain't an angle).
