PP Challenge #328 "Four Peak or No Peaks?"

Thank you savoche for hosting 327 and the great image to work with. I hope everyone finds this image worthy of your efforts.

It is photograph of Four Peaks, a prominent feature of the Mazatzal Mountains, northeast of Phoenix Arizona. It is so named for the four peaks close to each other, except for this day when the peaks are concealed in the clouds and are now "No Peaks"! The tallest of the four peaks, Brown's Peak is the highest point in Maricopa County.

Do what you will with it and contribute as many versions as you wish. I will close this challenge Tuesday April 28.

Let the festivities commence!

I'd like to add, Glenn, that - in the unlikely case I should win, I'm afraid I can't host next week's challenge.

A crop focused on the near cactus seems nice - how about in B&W...?

The differences between my version as displayed by PS and the final compressed PF version are subtle, but unfortunately add up in this case.

Inadvertently picked a similar crop to Todd it seems but my thoughts went down a widescreen cinema crop route with this. Tried to give it a slightly muted palette whilst still retaining a bit of impact.

To not have been there it makes it hard to work with colors. My best guess.

Looking through these the Good, Bad, and Ugly theme plays in my head. Someone put Clint Eastwood in his blanket poncho in one!
