Ahhh, yes the snow. I was wondering if anyone was going to pick up on that.
Last year wasn't as bad for us as the year before that.... How many blizzards did we have???

The answer is none- well down south of the Equator at any rate. We've hardly had a winter to speak of. We've had snow in October once, so I remain hopeful.
I spy a leafless tree

In case you didn't think about it, the snow piles along the driveway were as high this one out on the street, but were also atop a retaining wall, Consequently, they were far too high for the blower, so on three occasions I had to climb up and through thigh-deep snow and shovel it back so the snow blower had a place to throw the next fall. And I thought purchasing a blower would spare me from shoveling.

I spy a gnarly sort of tree. This is a miniature (bonsai) tree. I've always thought that bonsai was a different manifestation of the urge to make model sailing ships or build a miniature railroad in the basement.

I spy more bonsai. A rather large planting of dawn redwoods (Metasequoia)
