Mike Ryko, a long time columnist in Chicago IL, had a story about beer and a Chicago Cubs fan:

There is a partially full glass of beer on the bar, the optimist sees it as half full, the pessimist sees it as half empty

The Cub fan sees it and wonders when it will get knocked over

and I thought a "quack" was a reference to medical personnel as opposed to the sound a duck makes???


if the beer is free, I will eat "quackers" or even crackers with it.


I have learned that the original Chicago style pizza was a thin cracker crust, not deep dish, heavily salted and served free in the bars so the people would get thirsty and drink more beer.
