I spy a porcelain plate, somewhat fancier. I doubt this one has ever held "comfort food."

I spy an artistic representation of an animal. This was drawn by my Cousin's Daughter, she definitely has the gift.

There's a skill and vision that cannot be taught and should be cultivated lest it be lost to neglect. That image would be wonderful in a "Little Red Riding Hood" book, or perhaps "Peter and the Wolf."

Do you know why dragons are commonly portrayed holding a globe, like the one in the image you posted?

In ancient Chinese folk stories/tradition, the Moon is periodically swallowed by a dragon, who subsequently gets a tummy ache and regurgitates the Moon at the same rate it was swallowed. So the globe in the dragon's paw represents the Moon.
