Love this shot Steve...especially how the gravestones are lit up and defined by the moonlight.

I helped a bit with a torch......a long exposure allowed me to run round without being captured

That's a long stretch of guardrail. There's a dangerous "T" intersection very near us.The through road approaches up hill in both directions, as well as along curve, the secondary road being on the outside of the bend. Approaching from the west you're also down in a roadcut that blocks the view of the secondary road until you're almost on top of it. On one side of the "T" there's a drop down into someone's yard, and along that corner there's a guardrail just like the one in the image above. Two weeks back an out-of-towner approaching uphill from the west, with the curve and road cut, didn't heed the slow-down (to 20mph), could not navigate the curve and went right through the guardrail and down the drop. Neither the driver nor his passengers were seriously injured. He was driving without a license on top of speeding. BUT, the guardrail DID NOT prevent the car from dropping down the incline. I guess they work to keep you from drifting off sideways, but not if you ram one straight-on as this fellow did.
