I spy more Painted Dogs, these ones quite agitated at who-knows-what. Probably the smell/scent of some animal that had perched on the pole.

I still haven't seen any of those. I don't think they like me

I spy a "painted" animal.

I suppose we'll just have to go back. Again. And again...

But it is rather frustrating having visited several of the "most likely" places to see them (Okavango, Moremi, Chobe, South Luangwa, Mana Pools, Kruger, Kgalagadi...) without seeing as much as a whisker. I guess Hwange is next on the list!

Luck and magnetic personality helps . And yes, keep coming back, that way maybe I'll get to meet you. Even better, hire a certain Kruger Park fanatic and we may be in business

I spy a colorful toad

No doubt, no doubt! We're looking at a return next year, but probably not Kruger. Trying to find something that will suit our son and daughter-in-law. Maybe Kgalagadi, or Eastern Cape and have some private reserve there as our safari alibi. Or camping our way through Namibia again. Still some time to figure something out

I spy an amphibian, this one is a western chorus frog, I stood in this spot for about 30 minutes before they would show themselves. They are very small frogs, but you can hear their chorus a half a mile away.

I spy yet another amphibian.

This tiny guy was on the forest floor in Andasibe, Madagascar. I suspect it would be unhealthy to eat him...

Either Mantella madagascariensis or M. baroni, by the look. Quite hard to tell them apart. And no, not good to eat!

I spy a small animal on a fallen leaf (K-3 II + M50/1.4)
