And just to make things worse, what you spied isn't even a BMW - it's a Skoda!

Unfortunate encounter with a patch of ice, swiftly followed by the hedge on the opposite side of the road - backwards. Damage only to the car and my pride, and we eventually traded it in with 178,000 miles on the clock, as it wouldn't get through the MoT with a warning light and the fix was more than the car was worth...

Should we initiate a crowdfunding effort to buy noelcmn a larger monitor? Or maybe just better glasses

The monitor would probably be cheaper... I blame Skoda for changing from the nice distinctive badge to a downmarket one that can be mistaken for a BMW, Vauxhall etc.

I blame it, not on the eyes, or monitor, but on enthusiasm . Well maybe I should blame the contact lenses- they'r troublesome from time to ttme, especially in the windy conditions we've been having of late.

I spy a number plate or registration plate

Nice Savoche- Where? In Kruger, he would be listed under one of the Big Tuskers.
It was indeed in Kruger, in the concession area of Rhinopost Lodge. He's not one of the regulars, though. The ranger hadn't seen him before.

Oh, and your contacts can't be that bad. You still don't confuse elephants and rhinos, at least not at close range
