The DA 21 is such a great lens, I often consider getting a replacement for my K-5 just to make use of it. Then again, maybe this month's group participation will give me impetus to finally use my DA 21 copy on the K-1 in crop mode, with pixel shift!

LOL. In one of the shops I worked in was populated by either stocky robust dudes who could carry heavy stuff, never felt cold,, would drink their own weight and still work all day, titled "Team Widebody" , or the skinny malnourished spindly types who withered in less than perfect weather and had a disturbing enjoyment in running long distances really fast, we called them "Team NarraAss".

no, not switching bodies at all - I'm really not looking to move to full-frame, but am watching for the next APS-C camera....

I'll still be running the A20/2.8 for June; I had considered the Auto-Topcor 58/1.4 but I like the idea of even wider than May's lens....
Noooo, I meant K3 & K5 depending on your mood

Hmmm I could try the 12-24 on APSC, or perhaps go the other way and bring out the 67 600mm f4..........

ah - I see; the K-5 IIs body is my M42 only body - there's an adapter on it that never comes off....

Aaaaah. Is that deliberate or did it jam and you thought what the heck lololol my K3 is my preferred MF body. The KP has the same diopter as the K30 and I find it unreliable as it often changes when I am taking it out of my bag. Also, I donít know if it is anything to do with the extra depth of the floppy screen but I canít seemto get consistency. When I really press my eye against it it is spot on but if I merely hold my eye against it, the extra few millimetres changes whether or not it looks to be in focus. I tried using the magnified eyepiece as that stands more proud but I wasnít happy with that either, so, K3 for manual and the big stuff, KP for everything else and tripod work with its fancy peaking

deliberate - when I started working with M42 lenses, I decided that it would make more sense (for me) to have an M42-body than to swap an adapter from lens to lens to lens....

I did a similar thing with all my Adaptalls - every lens is attached to its own adapter...

Iím tossing up the idea of supergluing my M42 adaptor to my SMC Tak 135/3.5...

I think I'll be in this month, as a dirty brand traitor...
Unsure which Pentax lens I'll go for yet... Query - the rules state Pentax lens allowed on a non-Pentax body (which will apply to me herein), does this include Takumars?

Hot diggety damn! I'll be sure to enquire whether it (hopefully) stretches to anything PK mount too... though I'm doubtful about that :P

A third party K-mount lens on a non-Pentax camera is definitely not allowed. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I assumed that'd be the case. At least the sun is shining here!

I would like to partake this month. Been way too busy in life / work and HR have asked me to reduce my 59 days holidays I've built up over the last 2-3 years so till the middle of August i'm on a 3 day week - Wide seems to be a strong theme so is 25mm on a K-1 wide enough in which case I'll present my Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2.8/25 as shown off to wonderful effect by @Pepperberryfarm.

I'm strongly considering the Super-Takumar 35mm f/3.5... Yet to get to grips with 35mm lenses, so that is as good an excuse as any.
