My other option would be the F 85/2.8 Soft, which would certainly be a stark contrast when the DFA* arrives

Oooh, now you are asking. I can slap it on, take some random shots and post sooc if that would help
Cool - thank you for that. There is a nice character to it.

But the other (and unasked) thread to my question was really “what did you do in processing? cos I love it”.

I have a pair of 85's I have yet to Single with....
85 is a length I don't have anything in. Perhaps I need to do something about that...

Hmm 85 2.2 Soft might be an option...... or DFA 70-200....... or F 50mm Macro........or Q 03..........or M 75-150..... or M*67 400mm........that's me done until Christmas if I add in the DFA 85mm

My KP is already wearing next month’s lens. Yes, I have thrown in the towel.

So I’ve got a few days to make sure the focus is calibrated and good with my sigma 30/1.4 (so far it seems all good), before beginning July

Feel free to share some shots, especially if there is a trolley in the frame

I'll start saving... I might be able to afford it by 2030.

I wouldn't mind purchasing the impending DFA 85, but I own the FA 77mm, so I don't see a need for another lens in that short tele or "portrait" range., especially at the list price. If I spend any many on a camera or lens, it is likely to be the GRIII, so I'm delaying gratification until that time comes, probably at Christmas.

On the Other hand, I saw what I think is a very good deal on a 645Z, with 2 lenses and a flash for US $3300.

If I were to sell off one hobby's worth of gear, that would more than make up for the purchase of this 645Z kit.

Then again, for that same sum, I could probably swing a vacation to Australia and NZ after all this lockdown hysteria has passed.

Opportunities, priorities and decisions.

I'm teetering on an interesting precipice...

I'm curious about the Adaptist mount and the possibilities it opens up on a Pentax body....

anybody have any experience?

N...n...next month?

I'd love to say that I'll do the extreme opposite with the 10-17 or something, but I think one month wore me out enough for now. Not to mention work is getting more busy, and less free time. Though I'm starting to struggle nearing the end here, it's been fun overall, and I'm sure I'll do another single-in somewhere down the road

I've done the SIC with both the 10-17 and Rokinon 8mm fisheye...

fun stuff, but it can wear you out by the end of the month...

It's been ages since I've watched some Father Ted... but I'm just hearing her now....

I'm sure I'll go again, but in the future, right now things are quite hectic.
