Nothing for the 14th from me - work and knives distracted me.
I already have a safety in the bank for the 15th though, so I'm not dead yet

Have caught up posting for the last 6 days (8th-14th).
Wow, hadn't realised quite how far behind I was.
Will be doing some commenting a little later.

As much as I'm ok with this photo I don't think it's particularly great and I believe I did better with some previous shots this month. Weird, but it's my first 'explore' so sure I'm happy
Congrats.

Still no explore for me. Looks like I will hit my 1000 without getting one. Maybe next account is more lucky

I'm yet to hit Explore either, 1,300 photos in.

Strange beginning to the day today - made by a sad ending of someone else’s.

Going past a platform, train suddenly slows, hear and feel a series of kathunkathunkathunk, train stops.

Oh crap...

Sure enough, some presumably desperately unhappy person had jumped in front of the train.

I really feel for the driver, and the people on the platform who must’ve seen it (I saw police talking to one sobbing woman as I left the platform).

That's terrible - hope you're okay.
Unfortunately, the true breadth of mental health issues are coming out of the woodwork but until everyone feels like they have someone to turn to, these things will happen.
My thoughts with everyone involved.

Indeed. If you gotta go, that's a really unfair way to do it. Poor driver has no way to avoid it and just has to watch inevitable.

Oh man, Raf! That's pretty grim.
Give your beautiful family a big hug. And have a virtual one from me.

Thanks! Ironically, If I had prepared my top 10 list from this month so far, the 'explore' picture would've been outside it

Hey all. Yeah a very sad event. Mostly for a family, but so so much also for the driver and emergency services, and the witnesses.

It evokes a strange mix of sympathy and anger towards the poor sod who exited in the way he (I assume he; these violent methods of suicide are most often chosen by men) did. It seems so unfair to so many others. But then, we wouldn’t say someone was thinking exactly what we would regard as straight when they do something like this.
